Xbox Problem Solved!

Many people have had problems with their Xbox, inserting a disk and having the "This disc is either damaged or dirty," message appear. Slowly some games stopped working untill all games and movies stopped.

There was a lawsuit that was filed a few years ago that addressed a problem that microsoft found. The power connection was burning from a design flaw in older Xboxes. Microsoft came up with a solution and mailed most xbox owners a post card stating owners to order a new replacement cord on their website for free. The new cord fixed the hazord the flaw caused, but it was not related to the disk reading problem.

I Have found a way to fix the error with the disk-drive in the Xbox, but you must be willing to void the warranty, which is up anyways. The problem we are talking about is another design flaw, related to the fan and airflow. The way to fix the Xbox is very simple acually, all you need is a tourque screw driver of the right size, a normal screw driver, and this would really help speed up the proccess, a can of Dust-Off. First of all you must locate all of the tourqe screws at the bottom of your Xbox ( Under the stickers and sponges ). After they are all removed flip your Xbox right-side up, pull the top of your Xbox carefully off. Next, where you enter your discs into the Xbox you will notice it is covered by a metal sheild which you can remove by using your screw driver at the four screws at the corners of it. After the metal sheild is removed you see the Xbox scanner which you will then see the problem...... It is blinded by dust! To remove this dust use the Dust-Off Can to clear the Xbox scanner which then should fix the problem of the mis-read discs. Then, to finsih it all up put the Xbox back together then try it out and see if it works.
